Protective Guarding Search Tool Updated With More Solutions Categories

Developed and continuously updated by the members of the Protective Guarding Manufacturers Association (ProGMA), the free Protective Guarding Search Tool has been expanded with additional solutions categories. As a one-stop resource for facility managers, safety managers, and end users, the tool provides comprehensive information about a wide range of guarding products. In addition to listing multiple technology solutions, each category includes detailed explanations and application images.

Ideal for warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial facilities owners and managers, the Protective Guarding Search Tool makes it easy to find solutions that keep workers safe, as well as protect products and building structures. The tool can be searched with keywords and filtered by product category and by supplier name. Further, the tool shares links to manufacturers of each guarding solution type, making it easy to request more information or a quote.

With the updates, the current selection of protective guarding products included in the tool are:

Bollards, which protect machinery, facility structures, or utilities.

Column Protectors, which protect columns, posts, and corners from impacts by vehicles or forklifts.

Conveyor Guarding, which prevents materials from falling off of conveyor systems, as well as prevents damage to the conveyor itself.

Dock Door Protection, including bollards and height restrictors, which protect overhead door tracks from damage due to impacts by vehicles or forklifts.

Dock Lift Gates, which provide fall protection and prevention by minimizing the risk of a worker falling off a dock lift during loading and unloading.

Industrial Facility Protection Guardrail, which prevents workers from getting too close to machinery.

Industrial Pedestrian Guardrail, which keeps people and items from falling off elevated platforms. It also prevents moving vehicles from damaging a facility and its components.

Hygienic Separation & Social Distance Barriers, which protect employees by helping them maintain safe social and physical distancing measures.

Kerbing and Bumpers, which prevent fork penetration into pedestrian or equipment areas, as well as provide a surface to push product against.

Kickplates and Railing for work platforms minimize the risk of objects or people falling off the side of an elevated level or mezzanine.

Loading Dock Bumpers, which prevent a trailer from impacting a building or dock opening.

Loading Dock Gates, which protect against and prevent personnel from falling off an elevated dock door opening.

Machine Guarding, which prevents workers from making direct contact with moving parts or other dangerous areas of equipment or machinery.

Overhead Mesh Guarding, which prohibits tools, boxes, or other items from falling off mezzanines, elevated work platforms, or racks onto the floor or work areas below.

Pallet Drop Gates, which secure pallet drop areas in elevated locations to protect workers from falls.

Pallet Flow Gates guard ledge openings where more than one pallet is loaded into a flow lane, preventing falls.

Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Gates prevent falls from mezzanines and create an access point to load and unload materials while maintaining a safety barrier when not in use.

Pedestrian Stairways on Docks provide safe building access in docking and loading areas.

Pick Module/Mezzanine Safety Gates, which secure loading openings on pick modules to protect workers from falls.

Pipe Guards for shielding exposed pipes, ducts, conduits and other sensitive building infrastructure from damage caused by vehicle impacts.

Rack Leg Protectors protect rack uprights to prevent damage from a forklift impact.

Rack Repair Kits provide structural reinforcement to repair rack columns that have been damaged by a forklift impact.

Retractable Belt Guarding Systems are barriers that can be deployed or removed quickly and easily to separate spaces, delineate traffic pathways, and for safety guarding purposes.

Roll-up Door Guarding and Height Restriction Products shield structures and equipment from impacts. This category also includes alarms and proximity sensors.

Safety and Building Access Control Cages prevent unauthorized access to a facility from an outside entrance or create a secure space for product storage to protect against pilferage.

Safety Netting, which catches and contains items that fall off the backs or sides of racks into aisles, work areas, or flue spaces within industrial steel storage rack.

Safety Signage, such as plaques and other signs, that indicate safety protocols for compliance in and around workspaces.

Steel Mesh Containment Panels for installation on pallet rack uprights to protect workers from injury caused by items stored at height falling off, as well as to prevent damage to products and equipment.

Structural Angle Rack Guards protect racking at the ground level to reduce the risk of the structure collapsing.

Topple Protection barriers minimize the risk of stacked pallets falling over.

Traffic Warning Signals are lights, signage, and signaling devices that indicate traffic flow and traffic patterns to prevent warehouse and industrial vehicle accidents.

Trailer Maintenance Stands and Jacks provide stabilization and support for trailers during maintenance.

Truck Wheel Guides prevent a truck or trailer from impacting a building or other surroundings.

Wall/Corner Guard Protection devices that shield facility walls and corners from impact damage.

Welding and Strip Curtains protect personnel from welding debris as they pass by an active cell.

Wheel Chocks prevent vehicle or trailer creep, as well as stop rolling and premature departure.

Wire Mesh for Back of Rack prevents products and equipment from falling while protecting workers below from injury caused by falling items.

Wire Mesh Partitions to separate spaces, control access, and/or secure and protect inventory.
